It's
been a while since we put up any new pictures, and these are
only the first few we've gotten together. There are more,
and they'll be up soon!
We
decided to call this batch "Weddings, Weddings, and Snow"
because in the space of a few months Jordy performed two weddings
in two states, and somehow we ended up vacationing in a lot
of snow. But we're getting ahead of ourselves...
Here
we are at Owen and Sce's wedding in September. |

This is what we call food porn.
The
night before their wedding, Owen and Sce had a rehearsal
dinner to make sure we all could eat properly for the
wedding. Who knew you had to practice?!

Same
dinner. Now the first time Jordy performed a wedding he was
compensated with Guinness. This time it's a bottle of 1984
Scotch.
|
|
Jordy
wasn't the only one with an active part in the wedding.
Anna and Momthra baked their incredible wedding cake -
yes, the same that was at our wedding. Oh, it was marvelous
again!

The
wedding was at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga. Here is where
the ceremony took place. Shortly the doors will close
and the ceremony will begin.

Anna
mans the camera while Jordy performs the ceremony. Anna had
a rough time shooting over the heads of other guests and trying
to avoid the videographer who in this rare photo was not
standing directly in front of Owen and Sce.
Jordy,
for his part was staring directly in the sun. The minute the
ceremony was over, the sun dipped below the trees. Cruel trick,
God. |

As
soon as the ceremony was over, Sce and Owen ducked out
and were replaced by this cardboard cut-out.
Just
kidding. Using the same high-speed photography employed
to capture hummingbirds in mid-flight, Anna managed to
snap this photo of Owen and Sce still. The actual instant
lasted less than a hundredth of a second before they flittered
away, but with a pro like Anna at the shutter, nothing
is too fast.

score and seven....' crap, that won't work. 'Ask not what
your wife'... scrap that, too..."
Mark
works furiously on his speech for the new bride and groom.
He ended up throwing caution to the wind and belting out
a heart warming rendition of "Sexual Healing." |

will she just go away so we can eat the entire cake in peace?"

Three
months later, Mary and Ellis asked Jordy to officiate
their wedding in Utah Valley. The wedding planner mistook
Jordy for a Mormon Bishop. It was a highlight of his time
in Utah.

we mention that Anna (and Shurik) took up playing bass? Here

And
here Shurik helps Jordy as he helps Anna with cutting
the border for Momthra's frog quilt. We've got pictures
of it, we'll get 'em up as soon as possible.

Jordy's
stuck in the snow. He did this on purpose. Don't ask.
After
Mary and Ellis's wedding we headed home for Christmas. And
after Christmas we spent New Year's Eve with Gary, Momthra
, and John up at Lake Tahoe where it was nearly as cold as
it is here, and there's a helluva lot more snow!
